About the Organization
What is HOSA?
HOSA — Future Health Professionals — is a premier international student organization with over 300,000 members across the globe. It is officially recognized by government and education ministries worldwide, providing a unique pipeline for leadership development, technical skills, and industry recognition exclusively for students pursuing health science and biomedical careers.

The Caledon Chapter
The Problem
In Peel Region, many high schools lack a HOSA chapter entirely, or face such overwhelming demand that they enforce strict capacity caps and random club lotteries.
As a result, hundreds of dedicated, highly intelligent students are turned away from STEM opportunities through no fault of their own — their ambition capped by arbitrary systems.
Our Solution
We built this independent community chapter to dismantle those artificial barriers. We operate on a merit-first, open-access model.
We believe a student's opportunity to explore a career in healthcare should never be dictated by a postal code or a waitlist. Every ambitious student deserves a seat at the table.

Medical Innovation & Engineering
Mentorship for teams designing, coding, and prototyping original medical devices, apps, and clinical software. From concept to competition-ready prototype.
Clinical & Academic Excellence
Rigorous training for standard clinical events like Medical Math and Health Informatics, plus specialized National Geographic Learning (ATC) academic exams.
Professional Development
Workshops focused on clinical problem-solving, scientific communication, and real-world health literacy. Build skills that matter beyond the classroom.
The Road to ILC
Our ultimate aim — preparing our roster to dominate the HOSA Canada vSLC and in-person SLC, directly securing tickets to the International Leadership Conference.

Mridul Goel
Founder & President
Driven by a firsthand understanding of how arbitrary barriers block talented students from STEM opportunities, Mridul founded the Caledon HOSA Community Chapter to build a merit-first environment where ambition is the only prerequisite. He is committed to creating a competitive, high-standard platform that prepares peers for national and international stages.

Pranav co-founded the chapter with a vision to democratize STEM access across Caledon and Peel Region. With deep expertise in health sciences and a passion for mentorship, he ensures every member receives the rigorous training and support needed to excel at the highest levels of HOSA competition.
